Chinese Search Engine Baidu and Wechat Shows “Bitcoin” Search Surge

As of February 2, the search for “Bitcoin” in the Baidu search index reached 19233 searches, an increase of 34.6% over a week ago.

Relately, the search for “bitcoin” on WeChat index reached 232,908 searches, an increase of 8.6% over a week ago.

Baidu and Wechat Shows "Bitcoin"

The Baidu Search Index is based on the netizen’s search volume on Baidu, and calculates the weighted sum of the search frequency of keywords in Baidu web search. The WeChat Index is the official WeChat-based mobile terminal index based on WeChat big data analysis. Both indexes can reflect the search enthusiasm of Internet users.

According to CoinMarketCap data, the price of Bitcoin is now reported at $ 9370.28, an increase of 8.3% from $ 8651.67 a week ago.
