Interview with David Lee, Professor of Singapore University of Social Sciences On Libra

Prof David LEE Kuo Chuen, founder of several entities including LeftCoast in Silicon Valley, Libai.io for Chinese wealth management education, and BlockAsset for Fintech and Blockchain. He was the Director of the Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics at the Singapore Management University. He graduated with BSc, MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Econometrics. He was the Group Managing Director of OUE and Auric Pacific. He founded and managed Ferrell hedge funds from 1998-2012 and was the property developer for Ferrell Residences. He is also an independent director on several boards including one of the world’s largest FinTech companies. He assisted regulators and investmentassociations in several capacities including the design of the framework for risk and complexity of investment products, allocation of research funding, launching of new investment products and editorial. His operation and management experience include F&B, manufacturing, hospitality, hedge funds, stockbroker, property management, property development, REITs, medical plastic components, listing and de-listing of companies, start-ups and multinationals. He is the author/editor of the American Library Association Outstanding Award Reference Book titled “Digital Currency” by Elsevier. His latest two books entitled “Blockchain, Digital Finance and Inclusion” are published by Elsevier with a new book on Inclusive Fintech on Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and ICO by World Scientific to be launched in 2018. His current interest is in decentralised technology for financial inclusion.
